Breakfast Club’s Classic Car Sunday kicked off the countdown to the 2022 Goodwood Revival where, among all of the incredible festivities and racing you’d expect, we’ll be celebrating ten years of the world’s cutest race. The Settrington Cup hits the big ten at the Revival in 2022.

‘Official testing’ for the race took place at Breakfast Club, with a number of the pedal-powered Austin J40s in attendance. Joining the festivities was GBBO finalist Dave Friday, who was on hand with an Austin J40 cake in celebration of its ten years.

  • One of the J40s here for Classic Car Sunday was The Duke of Richmond’s own example, which Race Flag Competition Winner Beth Miller got to drive.
  • Nine-year-old Beth designed the finish flag for the Settrington Cup, which was chosen as the winner by 2009 F1 world champion Jenson Button.

Beth will be taking to the grid of the Settrington Cup in the Duke’s J40 on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th September when the Revival gets fully underway in less than two months’ time. With racers pulling their grid positions out of a hat, anyone who gets unlucky for Saturday will have their chance on Sunday, when the grid is reversed.
